The people behind AERE
AERE began as an airship project in Istanbul in 2019. Today, Ali Kul, Sinan Gencal and Mustafa Demir are its three founders, bringing together flight dynamics, aircraft maintenance and certification, and hands-on airship building. We are still a project team; the company has not yet been incorporated.
M. Ali Kul
Co-founder, flight dynamicsFlight-dynamics engineer. Started AERE’s concept work in 2019 and drew the first Wanderer concept.
Mustafa Demir
Co-founder, airship engineeringBrings the team’s hands-on lighter-than-air experience. He reports building more than 80 sub-scale airships since 2012 and flying 20, with one kept aloft for over 365 days in an Eskişehir hangar test. Historical test records remain to be assembled.

Co-founder, finance and certificationAircraft maintenance and aviation certification background. Checked the 2019 Wanderer concept drawings.
